Marc Rider is an in-house counsel at Access: Supports for Living, Inc. He earned his Juris Doctorate (JD) from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from Washington State University.
“If I could achieve any one educational accomplishment while serving as a Board of Education member it would be that every student is given an equal opportunity to succeed and excel,” he says.
Some of his top priorities for the District include:
Providing a quality education to every student
Supporting educators and all District staff
Diversifying the District workforce
Decreasing the District's carbon footprint
Ensuring all students and staff are safe while on District property
Marc has coached soccer with KASL for eight years. He also enjoys hiking, camping, and watching sports with his family. Marc and his wife Natalie, a teacher at Beacon City Schools, have two children who attend Bailey Middle School and Robert Graves Elementary School.
