The Kingston City School District is committed to providing internet access to all of our student households. The district recognizes there is an extensive poverty rate in the KCSD community and there are many households with extenuating circumstances and cases of extreme need.
In support of the Education Bargain, the Kingston City School District participates in the Community Eligibility Provision of the National School Lunch Program, making all students in 6 out of 10 of our schools eligible for the federal lunch program, regardless of household income. By virtue of this statement, all households with students attending these schools may qualify for a substantially discounted rate for internet access as part of the Spectrum Internet Assist Program. Additionally, KCSD student households signing up as new subscribers may also qualify for 60 days of free internet access with any previous outstanding balances waived by calling 1-844-488-8395. These Spectrum programs support our Remote Learning initiative and help bridge the digital divide within our KCSD community.
