Update on Emergency Closing Days AKA "Snow Days"

With spring break approaching (March 25-April 1), we wanted to provide an important update regarding emergency closing days.

For this 2023-2024 school year, there are seven total emergency closing days available (aka “snow days”), an increase from the six days originally planned. This allows for additional flexibility in the event of winter weather or other unexpected closures.

Below you will find an overview chart showing how any unused emergency closing days remaining under seven will be handled by the district. Please note that as of February 29, four emergency closing days have been used so far this school year.

Please also remember that emergency closing days can be used for a variety of situations beyond winter weather, including flooding, power outages, or other hazards.

You can access the most up-to-date school calendar with closure details on the district website.

Thank you for your attention to these calendar updates. We hope you enjoy the month of March leading up to spring break!
