C-O-N-G-R-A-T-U-L-A-T-I-O-N-S to all participants of this year’s KCSD Spelling Bee, held Tuesday, 12/21, in the Meagher Pre-K cafeteria, which featured students representing all 7 elementary schools and 2 middle schools. Out of 20 students, Margot Sarthou, a 4th grader at George Washington Elementary, achieved the top prize, cinching the title with her correct spelling of the word 'poultice.'

The winner and top four finalists will all compete in the Capital Region Spelling Bee, which will be held at Proctors Theatre in Schenectady on Feb. 8.

Also representing KCSD are: Gavin Gorton (Edson Elementary), Lucas Litts (Chambers Elementary), Isabelle Meyer (Myer Elementary), and Nathan Allen (Bailey Middle School).

Join us in applauding Margot and all of our master spellers!
