The Kingston High School Summer Graduation Ceremony on August 29, 2019, could have been deemed the fastest ceremony in the history of graduations as it was short and sweet, but nothing shy of inspirational. Nine students proudly processed down the Salzmann building corridor as members of the KHS Orchestra conducted a musical prelude of the traditional “Pomp and Circumstance.” Family, friends, faculty and staff, including former KHS Principal, Kirk Reinhardt, welcomed the graduates with cheers and applause in recognition of their hard work to overcome the obstacles that once stood before them.
Superintendent, Dr. Paul J. Padalino, spoke about the graduates’ persistence and perseverance to achieve their goals before Principal Vince DeCicco gave a lighthearted welcome and congratulatory speech. “We are one team with one goal and that is to work together and provide every student the opportunity to succeed. Our graduates tonight are proof that if you are willing to keep working, you will reach your goal to graduate. May you continue with your journey, I wish you all success.”
Diplomas were handed to each graduate by Dr. Padalino and Board of Education President, James Shaughnessy, before Assistant Principal Kathy Sellitti gave her well wishes and class farewell.
Congratulations to the Class of 2019!
