Anita Williams Peck Public Speaking Competition
The Anita Williams Peck Public Speaking Competition was held at SUNY Ulster’s Stone Ridge campus on June 13, 2019. Six Kingston High School seniors contended in the 10th Anniversary competition.
Aleca Pardo took the top spot with her speech on Sexual Assault, winning a scholarship of $3,500. Second place, and a scholarship of $2,500, went to Xavier Sharp. Kira Milgrim took home a $1,000 scholarship for winning third place.

Congratulations to all of the public speakers and thank you to the Peck family, SUNY Ulster and the Ulster Community College Foundation. Sadly, Ms. Williams Peck passed away earlier this year, but her generous donation of $150,000 will ensure that this program will continue for years to come.
