Annual Spelling Bee Finals

Congratulations to the Spelling Bee winners, Tiffany Hajba and Ethan Cobey!

The KCSD 2018-2019 Spelling Bee finals were held at M.C. Miller Middle School on Monday, March 11, 2019, after weeks of practice and preliminary competitions. The elementary bee consisted of seven third and fourth-grade finalists with one representative from each elementary school in the district. The middle school bee had eight finalists competing from grades 5-8, four students from each middle school.

Every student put their best foot forward as each spelling word became more challenging as the rounds progressed. The middle school bee proved to be a difficult feat as Linus MacDonald and Ethan Cobey went head-to-head for the last 15 minutes of their round, ultimately finishing with Cobey as the winner.

Kudos to all of the participants and finalists!
