History on Wheels at Crosby Elementary

Mr. Hansen’s 4th grade class at Crosby Elementary enjoyed a history lesson about the Revolutionary War with Mr. Albert, a history teacher and creator of the History on Wheels program. Students worked in teams of two playing an oversized board game, answering challenging questions to move their game pieces along a map of Revolutionary War sites spanning the Hudson River. Mr. Albert meets with Crosby fourth graders once a month to engage students with a different history lesson each visit.

Lessons are also part of an ongoing interdisciplinary academic competition culminating at the end of the school year.
