Technology Plan

Technology Plan 2022-2025

The Kingston City School District represents a unified, diverse, and dynamic community that is committed to excellence in scholarship and character development; ensures the worth, dignity, and well-being of students and staff; and promotes lifelong learning of students, staff, and community.

We believe that our new technology-enriched learning community will help our students to achieve higher levels of academic performance, and to develop new competence and pride in their work as successful communicators and thinkers in the 21st century world.

Over the last three years, we have seen an explosion in the use of technology in our daily lives. We have expanded the use of technology by building upon the infrastructure planning and developed started in April 2001. We are committed to promoting the use of technology well beyond the presentation of visually rich information and content.

We envision our students using technology and engaged in authentic, project-based, student-centered discovery learning that enhances all the information and communication skills defined in the 21st Century Skills Project, and that helps students to meet the challenging New York State Learning Standards established for every student in the Kingston City Schools District.
