Supporting Families Through Our Bilingual Family Workers

KCSD Bilingual Family Workers are located at each school throughout the district

The Kingston City School District is proud to support our diverse school community through our Bilingual Family Workers. These dedicated staff members play an essential role in helping families feel welcomed, informed, and connected across our schools.

Our Bilingual Family Workers serve as trusted liaisons between schools and families whose primary language is not English. Fluent in multiple languages and culturally responsive in their approach, they help bridge language and cultural gaps for our English as a New Language (ENL) families. Their work includes providing translation and interpretation, guiding families through school programs and services, supporting communication between home and school, and connecting families to important school and community resources.

In addition to offering practical support, Bilingual Family Workers build strong relationships with families, helping caregivers navigate the school system with confidence and remain actively engaged in their children’s education. Their work supports student success and strengthens family-school partnerships across the district.

We are grateful for their dedication, compassion, and commitment to all students. Our Bilingual Family Workers are an integral part of the Kingston City School District team, helping to ensure all families feel valued, supported, and connected.
