Kingston City School District Celebrates the Return of KCSD Athletics to Dietz Stadium
On October 10, the Kingston community united for a memorable evening at the historic Dietz Stadium, a beloved symbol of the Kingston City School District's (KCSD) athletic tradition. Local residents, distinguished guests, and enthusiastic supporters gathered to celebrate the stadium's legacy and the spirit of KCSD athletes, creating an electric atmosphere.
The evening featured remarks from Mayor Steven Noble, KCSD Superintendent Dr. Paul J. Padalino, and a Kingston High School student-athlete. A significant moment occurred when city officials and district leaders exchanged a golden football, symbolizing the return of student-athletes to the upgraded Dietz Stadium after a comprehensive $21.5 million renovation. “Today, we celebrate the past and look forward to an exciting future for our athletes,” Padalino remarked.
Following the ceremony, the Kingston Tiger Football team took to the field for an exciting matchup against the Valley Central Vikings. Halftime showcased the talents of the award-winning KHS Tiger Marching Band and included a special recognition of teachers from across the district during the annual Teacher Appreciation game, highlighting the community's commitment to education and athletics.
