    Absentee Ballots

    Voter absentee ballot applications are available from the Office of the District Clerk. Please call Karen Seery, District Clerk, at 845-943-3003, or email kseery@kingstoncityschools.org, for more information.  Applications for an absentee ballot must be returned to the District Clerk’s Office no later than May 9, 2023, if you would like your absentee ballot to be mailed to you, or May 15, 2023, if the ballot will be picked up personally.

    **Applications will be accepted at any time, however, Absentee Ballots cannot be mailed or picked-up until after April 30, 2023, once Board candidates have been determined.

    On the Ballot:

    Proposition 1 - 2023-24 Budget:

    Shall the Board of Education of the Kingston City School District, Ulster County, New York, be authorized to expend the sums of money which will be required for school district purposes for the 2023-2024 School Year, in the total amount of $219,540,208.00 (the Budget), and to levy the necessary sum against the taxable real property in the School District?

    Proposition 2 - 5-Year Capital Plan Proposition:
    Shall the bond resolution adopted by the Board of Education of the City School District of the City of Kingston, New York, on March 15, 2023, authorizing a School District Improvement Program, including incidental improvements and costs (30 year useful life), at a maximum estimated cost of $162,500,000, with $10,000,000 capital reserve funds monies used therefor, and providing that said sum of $152,500,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, shall be raised by the levy of a tax upon the taxable real property of such District and collected in annual installments; providing that, in anticipation of said tax, obligations of the District shall be issued; pledging the faith and credit of said District for the payment thereof; delegating the power to authorize and sell serial bonds and notes; and containing an estoppel clause, be approved?  

    Election of Board of Education Trustees:

    Vote for any four (4) candidates. Three (3) members for 3-year terms, from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2026 and one (1) member for a partial term from May 17, 2023 to June 30, 2024.
