• Success Story: Isaac Davis


    It has been said that ambition is the path to success, but persistence is the vehicle in which you arrive. For Kingston High School senior, Isaac Davis, the road towards graduation wasn’t always clear. However, Isaac’s persistence, ambition, and the support of the KHS faculty enabled this remarkable young man to turn his life around after a rocky start during the first two years of high school.

  • Success Story: Stephen Null

    Since graduating from Kingston High School (KHS) in 2001, Stephen Null has gone on to accomplish some pretty amazing things. He landed his dream job at a major animation studio, his renderings have been used on countless promotional materials worldwide, and he has helped design the visual effects for two Academy Award-winning movies. It’s hard to imagine, but looking back now, the Los Angeles resident says that if it wasn’t for the teachers and programs at KHS, he may not even considered pursuing a career in the arts.

    Hudson Valley residents might recognize YNN-TV reporter and 2006 Kingston High School graduate Alexandra Weishaupt from her television news coverage, but may not know that this ambitious young woman credits the Kingston City School District with setting her on the path to success in broadcast journalism. In her role in the public eye, Alexandra brings the spotlight to a wide-array of quality of life issues that impact local citizens.

  • Success Story: Laurel Dewitt

     

    Laurel DeWitt, a 2001 graduate of Kingston High School, has an eponymous line that features feverishly innovative metal apparel. A hybrid that blurs the line between accessory and clothing, DeWitt’s wearable art has been the subject of many successful runway shows during New York City’s Fashion Week, has graced the pages of international fashion magazines, and has also been showcased by such celebrities as Cyndi Lauper, Lady Gaga, and Nicki Minaj.

    Dr. Mark Josefski, a member of the KHS Class of 1973, hasn’t just dedicated his life to helping and healing. He’s done so right in his own community of Kingston. The current of the President of the New York State Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Josefski’s path to a career in medicine began when he was still a young student in the Kingston City School District.
