    Career Exploration and Brainstorming October 21, 2019

    This workshop will focus on sharing ideas for careers and job possibilities as a think tank group! "How do we expect young people to dream if they don’t know what they can dream about?" Introduces students to the working world they will one day enter, increases students’ knowledge of career options, helps students see how they fit in the working world, encourages students to plan high school courses based on future goals.

    Writing a Cover Letter and References November 13, 2019

    Matching your skills and experience to an employer's needs is the key to developing your job-winning cover letters. Find out what it takes to market yourself effectively and apply your learning by working on improving components of your cover letter. In order to make this as beneficial as possible, participants should bring a hard copy of their resume along with a job posting!

    Come and discover how to use this valuable interviewing technique to land your next job! You will learn what employers expect of you during a job interview as well as tips and techniques for presenting yourself in the best possible way.  Join us and find out how to make a lasting impression on employers.

    Stand out at an Interview (2 of 2) December 11, 2019

    Designed for students to strengthen and test their interviewing skills by placing them in a “mock” interview setting. This is a practice interview session. Receive positive feedback from local employers on how to improve your interviewing skills. Learn the “good” and “bad” parts of how you interview. Meet employers from the community.
