The Kingston City School District will be hosting an Ulster County Career & Job fair. We welcome businesses, trade schools and certificate programs in the Hudson Valley region to participate in this evening event. We are inviting youth and community members, as well as neighboring communities to join!
We want to showcase the opportunities for young people in our community to obtain employment and/or to return to our community once they graduate.
We ask that you complete the registration for your table as soon as possible.
Certificate, Trade Unions & Trade Schools click here
We will have kiosks at the event to assist young people and community members looking for specific jobs, trades and/or certificate programs.
Career Fair details are below:
Date/Time: Monday, April 15, 2024, 5:30 PM-8PM.
Location: 403 Broadway, Kingston, NY, Kate Walton Field House
Arrival and Parking: Each organization should arrive and set up at 4:30 PM. You may unload your vehicle by the Kate Walton Field House building and move your car to the parking lot. Parking is available off Andrew Street in our staff/student parking lot. We have additional parking for guests in our visitor lot, plenty of street parking and a lot off Mary's Avenue (making this a perfect location for our community to come together).
Tabling: There will be one table available to all organizations participating in the fair. In addition, space is available behind each table for banners, signs, etc. If any organization needs an electrical outlet or any other special accommodations, please contact Ms. Tina Dierna, LMSW at KHS. This should be done as soon as possible. Her number is 845-943-3813 and her e-mail is Tdierna@kingstoncityschools.org.
Representatives from our district and the community will be at the registration table to escort the organizations to their table.
Resume writing workshops and mock interviews will be available to students prior to the event. We encourage districts across our community to help prepare their youth as well! Each year we have a successful college fair and want to shift our focus to be inclusive of all post-graduate opportunities! Graduating seniors and underclassmen seeking internships, jobs or more information about trades and certificate programs will be attending this event.
If any organization should wish to interview any students any day following the career fair, arrangements can be made through that student or by requesting assistance from our Internship & Career Center with Ms. Dierna and Ms. Seavey by e-mailing them at Tdierna@kingstoncityschools.org
