St. Baldrick's Fundraiser
The annual Ulster/Greene County St. Baldrick's Day Fundraiser took place March 3rd, 2019 at Saugerties High School. For the first time, Kingston High School put together a team--Team Tigers--sponsored by the Kids for Wish Kids Club. This club, advised by English teacher Lainie Silverberg, had set out to reach their goal of raising $1000 to fund childhood cancer research, but what they got was so much more. Math teacher Suzanne Timbrouck, Spanish teacher Bill Tubby, and KHS junior Kassidy Ackerman all decided to represent Team Tigers and "brave the shave!" With their help, the club far surpassed their goal, raising over $2700! We are so proud of each participant and inspired by the many stories we heard that day. We look forward to next year's event!
