Addressing Learning Loss
Summer Programs – Three-Year Commitment
Programming at every level will offer both academic and social-emotional benefits.
Free Breakfast and Lunch will be served to all students daily.
Transportation provided and shuttles to aftercare.
K-4 - Instruction in math, literacy and social-emotional wellness will be both academic and fun through the integration of project-based learning.
5-8 - Focus will be on reading and math skills and social-emotional programming will be offered with the help of Peaceful Guardians, Family of Woodstock and others.
9-12 - All core areas will be covered as well as health, physical education, keyboarding, language, team-building and social-emotional programming.
After School Programming – All Buildings (Including TOPS, Healthy Kids and Extended Day)
Extended Credit Recovery – Middle Schools and High School
Transition Programming – Kindergarten, Grade 5, Grade 9
Reduced Class Sizes – Grades K-3
Elementary Average Class Sizes below 22 students
Improving Academic Outcomes
By June of 2024, all students will be reading at Grade Level by Grade 3
Adopt Wilson Fundations Phonics Curriculum (Including Professional Development and materials for all staff)– Multi-Sensory approach to Phonics
Fully Implement Pioneer Valley Reading Curriculum (Including Professional Development for all staff)– Guided Reading Approach
Orton Gillingham for Students With Disabilities - Multi-Sensory Approach
Increased Response to Intervention Faculty at Elementary(2)/Middle(4) (Reading Specialists –In Reading Blocks) and Academic Intervention Services at Secondary
New Social Studies Curricula with Literacy Focus
New Science Curricula with Literacy Focus
Montessori Training for George Washington Building Leader
Montessori Training for George Washington Instructional Staff
By June of 2024, all students will be performing at Grade Level in Math by Grade 3
Increased Math Response to Intervention at Elementary (2)/Middle (2) and Academic Intervention Services at High School
New Tiered (RTI) Intervention Curricula (Including Professional Decelopment for Faculty)
Montessori Training for George Washington Building Leader

By June of 2024, the KHS graduation rate will be 100%
(Inclusive of Career Development Occupational Studies Commencement Credential, the Test Assessing Secondary Completion and the Skills and Achievement Commencement Credential)
