For students interested in earning Honor’s credit please follow this link to familiarize yourself with the criteria: Honors Criteria
Placement in 9th grade math for students currently enrolled in Math 8 will be determined as follows:
*Algebra 1A-students with a quarter average at the end of Q3 of 73 or lower in Math 8. This is a 1 credit course followed by Algebra 1 (1 credit) in 10th grade. Students will sit for the NYS Algebra Regents exam at the end of 10th grade.
*Algebra 1-students with a quarter average at the end of Q3 of 74 or higher in Math 8. This is a 1 credit course ending in the NYS Algebra Regents exam at the end of 9th grade.
