    Kingston Athletic Department Guidelines

Modified teams are for girls and boys in 7th and 8th grade.  The modified sport programs offer a great opportunity for students to work on basic skills and learn the responsibilities needed to be on an organized sport team.

Any student who is considering trying out for a fall, winter or spring sport must have a sport physical.  Sports physicals can be from the school doctor or from your own private doctor.

If you opt to have your sport physical exam from your private doctor – you must use the Kingston city school forms.  The forms must be returned to the KHS medical office so they can be reviewed by the District medical director.  The physical exam is good for 1 calendar year.  In addition, a sports interval form must be filled out prior to each sport season.  Dates will be posted on our PE calendar as to when the forms are due for each season.

To schedule an appointment with the school doctor please call the High School medical office at 943-3742 to schedule an appointment after June 1st.  Physicals are offered during the summer months at the high school medical office by appointment only and are free of charge.

    Advanced Placement Process

Any student going into 8th grade that is interested in trying out for a JV or Varsity sport should call Mr. Silverstein’s office to begin the Advanced Placement Process.
