Class of 2020 Commencement Information
The Kingston City School District has planned stage-crossing and commencement ceremonies for Friday, July 17 and Saturday, July 18 at Dietz Stadium. It was the goal of KCSD to host a graduation ceremony that was traditional in nature, but with ongoing changes to state guidelines we have had to make changes to our plans. A directive from the New York State Department of Education prohibits traditional graduation ceremonies due to max capacity restrictions, physical distancing requirements and other health protocols.
For the health and safety of everyone in attendance, we ask that you adhere to the following rules and regulations:
*Social distancing and masks are required for all attendees. Masks will be available at the entrance for those who do not have them.
*Each student is allowed to bring 2 guests and should arrive at Dietz Stadium 15 minutes before their scheduled graduation time.
*No other spectators will be allowed in the facility during these ceremonies. (Facility includes all parking lots within the entrance to the stadium, basketball courts, Andretta Pool, and Forsyth Park)
*When entering the facility please wait in specified staging areas until directed to the main parking area. Once parked please enter the track area via the main gate near the concession area. Security will indicate when people may enter the stadium for each ceremony.
*All graduates must wear his/her cap and gown and will sit on the field with their two guests. Seats will be separated into groups of 3. Each grouping will be placed 6 ft apart from the next. The seats will be labelled with the student's last name and any cords (Honors, SUNY Ulster recognition) awarded to that student will be waiting there.
*Please depart Dietz Stadium immediately following your ceremony so that everyone can remain safe and the next commencement may begin in a timely fashion. Between each ceremony, all chairs will be cleaned and sanitized to prepare for the next group.
Each ceremony will last approximately 45 minutes and will include speeches by students and district officials, followed by a stage crossing for the graduating students where a Lifetouch photographer will take their picture. The ceremony schedule can be found below.
Ceremonies have been planned alphabetically in order to run in a safe and efficient manner. Because of this, changes cannot be made to the schedules. We understand that many families have had to adjust their schedules to accommodate these ceremonies. We thank you for your flexibility and apologize that the modifications to our schedule could not be made sooner.

Fall PSAT Information
Due to Covid-19 regulations, we are not able to offer the PSAT at this time. We will update the public as soon as possible should these restrictions be lifted and we are able to offer an exam in the fall
Working Papers Update (May 14, 2020)
New Procedures for Working Papers:
If you need Working Papers please call the high school medical office at 943-3738.
Leave your full name, date of birth, current grade and school, along with your contact telephone number.
You will be contacted to pick up your working papers at the high school. You MUST be present to sign the card in front of the issuing officer.
You may also be contacted to complete needed paperwork so the working papers can be issued.
