Our many partnerships throughout the community ensures our students' support and learning beyond the school day.

Bilingual

Our goal is to help our students and their families be successful in our community. Bilingual teachers and family workers are staffed throughout the district in most schools.

AP/Collegiate Classes

KHS students have the opportunity to participate in one of the most recognized and challenging programs available to high school students, with 12 Advanced Placement and dozens of college level courses to choose from.

Musical opportunities for all students start with classroom music instruction and continue through the state renowned KHS Music Program. Hundreds of students have been recognized and awarded at all levels while performing throughout the local community and country showcasing their musical talents. Learn more.

KCSD sponsors 10 Universal Pre-Kindergarten Programs with options for full or half-day, five days a week.  Each program is designed for eligible students that reside in the district and focuses on preparation for entering kindergarten the following school year. Learn more.

Capital Project / Construction

The Kingston High School (KHS) Second Century Capital Plan spanned eight years, focusing on comprehensive renovations and new construction to modernize the entire KHS campus. Additionally, infrastructure updates across nine district buildings were planned in phases to upgrade district buildings starting in Summer 2024. Learn more

Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA)

CKLA is a comprehensive, research-based language arts curriculum that helps students become fluent, confident readers while building deep background knowledge in science, social studies, and literature. The program combines strong foundational skills with rich content to support students in both learning to read and reading to learn.
