Message from the Principal
On behalf of the Chambers School faculty and staff, we welcome you to our school. We are excited about working with you and your children and look forward to our tradition of excellence.
Chambers School first opened its doors on September 4, 1956 with 427 students, grades Kindergarten through six. Throughout the years, the school and the local community worked together to provide a nurturing environment where all children can learn. As Chambers School fifth principal, I am proud to continue to provide an outstanding learning environment and our parents are active participants and supporters of all of our programs. As a member of the Chambers School community, I plan to maintain these efforts and provide a place where everyone wants to be!!
I look forward to working with all of you to ensure a succcessful time for our children. Our faculty and staff are committed to working closely with you in promoting the growth and development of all children at Chambers School.
Chamber School Mission Statement
The mission of Chambers School is to provide a learning environment for all students through the use of an effective community-wide behavior plan.
The behavior plan includes the following:
The Chambers School Pledge
I promise to be respectful to all, to be responsible for my own actions, to be ready to learn
It is our belief that all students can learn when the school environment includes the three R's... respect, responsibility and readiness.
The Chambers School PTA
The Chambers School Parent-Teacher Association [PTA] is a non-profit, non-commercial and non-sectarian service organization which connects, home, school and community. Those who participate in it share an interest in quality education for children. The PTA forms the base of a pyramid that works up through the New York State and National Congress of Parents and Teachers.
Our PTA is a very active group that participates in a variety of ways to support the educational program at Chambers School. Each year, they are involved in school programs and activities, including assemblies, field trips, book fair, special events, People as Reading Partners, to name a few. They work very hard with the faculty and staff at Chambers School to provide many opportunities for all children and families to be a part of the school community.
